Yeah the top banner is looking a lot better now, I think the Rallye shows a much better impression of what the club is about.

Also got the Ph3 crystals fitted on Tuesday, really freshens up the front end of the car (excuse the poor phone pics and general dirtyness of the car!)

Superleggera refurb

Made a start on the Superleggeras this week, took me about 4 hours on Tuesday but I got them all cleaned up, filled the curbing and scuffs on two and rubbed them down and got one in primer. Got til the end of Thursday to get them painted and fitted to the car anyway.

What I've been staring at for most of the afternoon...

New radiator

After the car overheating in some traffic a couple of weeks ago, the radiator has been high on the list to replace, it was losing about a litre of water a day. Got a Nissens one ordered on Tuesday from Mechanical Repairs on the GTi6 forum, much cheaper than I'd found anywhere else, and it turned up at work on Friday. So yesterday I set about changing it.

The old one looked pretty tired.

Coming soon

Will be getting a set of Ph3 crystal headlights and a spare slam panel in a few weeks. Planning to paint the slam panel white as mine's a bit rusty and scabby and I think it looks out of place being black.

Rear beam swap

Long overdue, this happened...



I took weight saving to drastic measures.



And this fell off too.
